About Me

I’m a software engineer, currently working at Facebook, Seattle. I come from India from a humble background and have spent my youth exploring the exciting world of software at the world’s biggest social media company.

I joined Facebook as my very first job straight out of university. I worked in the London office for a couple of years as a junior IC, trying to learn web development in Hack and React JS. I soon got interested in mobile development and spent the next year working on some of the most complex and unique Android apps out there like FB Lite and FB4A (Facebook For Android). Changing button colors and position of UI elements wasn’t interesting enough and so I moved to work on a new client side mobile SDK for rendering AR effects, popularly known today as Spark. Destiny shifted paths again as I switched to the video calling infrastructure (RTC) team and have been exploring this space since the past few years.

My journey in this industry has been very enlightening and this blog is an attempt to share my learnings and emotions for folks out there who dream of working in these big tech companies and making it big in the silicon valley. All of my stories and articles stem from my personal experiences and have been approved by Facebook for sharing publicly. I hope that my blog will inspire you to make a successful career in software as well as cheer you up and put a smile on that face.
